Mandatory Surveillance COVID-19 Testing for Spring 2021

To identify and respond quickly to a possible campus outbreak, the University is implementing mandatory surveillance testing. A random sample of students, faculty, and staff will be selected each week.

If selected, please click on go.mercer.edu/covidappt to schedule an appointment at the Macon or Atlanta Student Health Center. If you would like a list of testing facilities near the Henry or Douglas centers or the Columbus campus, please contact the Provost’s Office at provost@mercer.edu. Savannah medical students and staff may get tested on the Savannah campus.

If you are tested off campus, please remember that the test must be a nasal swab PCR test. Rapid antigen tests and antibody tests will not be accepted for surveillance testing.  Email your results to Mercer Medicine at mytestreport@mercer.edu. Please include your full legal name and MUID in the body of the email.

Exceptions to surveillance testing include:

  • students who are enrolled in totally online programs or off-campus internships/field experiences (with no other classes on campus),
  • students and employees with University-approved accommodations who are learning/working remotely from home, and
  • students and employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 90 days.
