The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) post-master’s certificate curriculum option is designed for the nurse who has a master’s degree in nursing and who is certified as an advanced practice nurse seeking eligibility for AGACNP certification.

The Master of Science in Nursing Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) track prepares nurses to manage individuals across the adult life span that have acute, critical, and complex chronic conditions in acute care settings. Nurse practitioners with this specialty provide care ranging from disease prevention to acute and critical care management, restoring health, and providing symptom management.

The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner post-master’s certificate curriculum option is designed for the nurse who has a master’s degree in nursing and is certified as an advanced practice nurse seeking eligibility for AGPCNP certification.

The Master of Science in Nursing Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) track prepares advanced practice nurses to deliver primary health care to individuals across the adult lifespan from adolescence through end of life. Nurse practitioners with this specialty have the knowledge and clinical skills necessary for health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses in adults and older adults.

Mercer’s M.S. in Applied Data Intelligence and Machine Learning provides a curriculum that includes programming, data structures and algorithms, machine learning, and computational statistics, culminating in a capstone experience. Students may choose a concentration in Artificial Intelligence or Data Science or may design their own concentration with a faculty advisor.

Endorsements are training for certified teachers who want to add expertise in specific areas. Students who hold a master’s degree in an approved content area from a regionally-accredited institution may apply for an endorsement program. The Autism Endorsement is available to certified teachers who hold a valid Level 4 teaching certificate. This endorsement will provide the certified teacher with knowledge and competencies to work with students on the autism spectrum. Endorsement courses are fully online; however, candidates will be required to complete a field-based component. (This program requires previous teacher certification.)

The graduate certificate in Business Data and Analytics prepares individuals to be effective leaders and make data-driven business decisions. Participants will learn how data analytics plays an essential role in decision-making, and how to use probability concepts and distributions for inferential statistics and predictive and prescriptive analytics.

The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry is a professional degree that prepares students for leadership in their faith communities. Students develop both the theological foundation and practical skills necessary for local church ministry. The degree is ideal for bi-vocational and part-time ministers, lay-leaders, and ministry-minded professionals from other fields.

The Master of Music in Church Music is intended to allow talented persons, who have completed an undergraduate degree in music, to enter an intense period of graduate, professional study that will prepare them for the practice of church music ministry. Concentrations include: conducting, vocal performance, organ, piano, and instrumental performance.

Mercer’s M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling prepares professionals in this field to work with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with a variety of life stresses and problems, including: self-esteem, addiction/substance abuse, age-related mental health issues, depression, and other emotional or behavioral issues. This program prepares individuals for licensure in Georgia and includes an intensive internship experience through client interaction under supervision.

Mercer’s M.S. in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling prepares candidates to provide rehabilitation services aimed at helping individuals with disabilities to achieve their maximum potential. This program empowers individuals to make informed choices, to help individuals achieve positive mental health, and to maximize opportunities for economic independence.

Endorsements are training for certified teachers who want to add expertise in specific areas. Students who hold a master’s degree in an approved content area from a regionally-accredited institution may apply for an endorsement program. The Coaching Endorsement is available to certified teachers who hold a valid Level 4 or higher teaching certificate. This endorsement will provide the certified teacher with knowledge to utilize performance assessment data to guide, mentor, and lead a variety of teachers and educators. Endorsement courses are fully online; however, candidates will be required to complete a field-based component. (This program requires previous teacher certification.)

The Master of Music in Collaborative Piano is intended to allow talented pianists, who have completed an undergraduate degree in music to enter an intense period of graduate, professional study that will prepare them for a career in collaborative piano.

Offered in collaboration with Mercer University’s School of Business and School of Law, the Combined Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Juris Doctor (JD) program develops students into versatile practitioners and advisors by providing a foundation in both legal and business practices. Students have the opportunity to sharpen critical thinking and analytical skills to gain a greater understanding of how organizations function to provide well-informed counsel on complex legal issues.
