Endorsements are training for certified teachers who want to add expertise in specific areas. Students who hold a master’s degree in an approved content area from a regionally-accredited institution may apply for an endorsement program. The Autism Endorsement is available to certified teachers who hold a valid Level 4 teaching certificate. This endorsement will provide the certified teacher with knowledge and competencies to work with students on the autism spectrum. Endorsement courses are fully online; however, candidates will be required to complete a field-based component. (This program requires previous teacher certification.)

This program is offered in two cohort delivery models: a weekday, on-campus format consisting of in-person classes on Mercer’s Atlanta campus that is completed in 16 months, and an online format that is completed in 15 months.

The graduate certificate in Business Data and Analytics prepares individuals to be effective leaders and make data-driven business decisions. Participants will learn how data analytics plays an essential role in decision-making, and how to use probability concepts and distributions for inferential statistics and predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Mercer’s M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling prepares professionals in this field to work with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with a variety of life stresses and problems, including: self-esteem, addiction/substance abuse, age-related mental health issues, depression, and other emotional or behavioral issues. This program prepares individuals for licensure in Georgia and includes an intensive internship experience through client interaction under supervision.

Mercer’s M.S. in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling prepares candidates to provide rehabilitation services aimed at helping individuals with disabilities to achieve their maximum potential. This program empowers individuals to make informed choices, to help individuals achieve positive mental health, and to maximize opportunities for economic independence.

Offered in collaboration with Mercer University’s School of Business and School of Law, the Combined Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Juris Doctor (JD) program develops students into versatile practitioners and advisors by providing a foundation in both legal and business practices. Students have the opportunity to sharpen critical thinking and analytical skills to gain a greater understanding of how organizations function to provide well-informed counsel on complex legal issues.

What’s better than one business degree? Two business degrees. In today’s competitive job climate, it’s important to set yourself apart from your competitors. Mercer’s Combined Master of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy (MBA/MAcc) degree program allows students to minimize time and financial investment to earn both degrees simultaneously. The Combined MBA/MAcc degree meets the course requirements to sit for the Uniform CPA exam and for CPA licensure in the State of Georgia.

Answering the call to ministry requires leadership, purpose, and a commitment to helping others. Through Mercer’s Combined Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Divinity (M.Div.), students can extend their impact as a servant leader by developing the skills necessary for success in ministry settings with business coursework that complements theological studies. Offered through Mercer University’s School of Business and School of Theology, the combined degree program will develop comprehensive leaders who flourish in various ministry settings.

For qualified Pharmacy students, Mercer University provides an opportunity to pursue the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree concurrently with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. The M.B.A. is earned through the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business.

The M.B.A. degree is a professional degree for qualified students interested in the management of human, material and/or financial resources in business, government and nonprofit institutions. The degree is designed to complement the Pharm.D. degree to broaden the occupational and professional opportunities of the prospective graduate in community, industry or institutional practice.

The graduate certificate in Compliance, Regulation, and Analytics in Fintech teaches individuals how to leverage artificial intelligence to drive innovation by combining data, technology, design, and people to solve problems, and equips participants with the latest information on regulations and compliance.

Mercer’s Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.Ed.) with a major in Computer Science Education prepares adult undergraduate students for initial teacher certification to bridge the gap between technology and learning. With a foundational emphasis on hands-on learning, candidates are engaged in real-world classroom settings, where they observe and apply best practices in computer science education. Students complete the program through a blended combination of online instruction and in-person field experiences.

The Computer Science Endorsement is available to certified teachers who hold a valid Level 4 teaching certificate. This endorsement will prepare the certified teacher to provide direct instruction to students in grades P-12. Endorsement courses are fully online; however, candidates will be required to complete a field-based component. (This program requires previous teacher certification.)

Mercer’s Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision prepares professionals as practitioners, consultants, counselor educators, supervisors, and researchers. Students learn to examine critically the state of the field, to generate research inquiries, and to advance the profession of counseling through oral and written contributions. This degree is awarded to those who demonstrate a mastery of their field and who complete and defend a dissertation.

The M.S. in Organizational Leadership is designed for aspiring or existing leaders from diverse professions and backgrounds, who are interested in advanced leadership positions in the public or private sectors. With a pathway in Criminal Justice and Public Safety, students learn to navigate community engagement, understand the nature of crime and justice as well as conflict resolution strategies that ultimately lead to organizational success.

Mercer’s B.S. in Criminal Justice Leadership is designed to develop in students the ability to think critically, make ethical decisions, and behave ethically and professionally within the field of criminal justice. Graduates of this program are able to demonstrate deep knowledge and understanding of the philosophical, theoretical, and structural aspects of the criminal justice system.

Effective communication is essential to the success of every sector and industry. Gain a better understanding on developing and assessing communication campaigns, building relationships with various stakeholders, and monitoring an organization’s image through application of effective public relations and crisis communication theories with the Crisis Communication certificate.

The Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction program is designed to prepare transforming curriculum and instructional leaders for local, state, and national levels. The program focuses on societal changes that are placing an ever-increasing emphasis upon the evolving role of the professional educator. The program is designed for working professionals with at least three years of experience and master’s level certification, and who hold a passion for transformative education. Completion of the program and a passing score on the GACE Content Assessment for Curriculum and Instruction will lead to eligibility for a Level 7 Service certificate upgrade. Blended classes incorporate online learning with three weekend, face-to-face meetings per semester on the Atlanta campus.

Mercer’s Master of Science (M.S.) in Data Science covers programming, data structures and algorithms, machine learning, data modeling, computational statistics, computer science courses, and culminates in a capstone project. Students in the data science master’s program are equipped with advanced skills in programming, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and statistics, and are prepared to tackle complex data-driven challenges across a wide range of industries.
