Princeton Review Names Mercer Law, Business Schools Among America’s Best Graduate Programs

October 9, 2009

The Princeton Review has again named Mercer University’s law and business programs among the nation’s best, announcing this week that the Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics was listed in its guidebook, Best 301 Business Schools: 2010 Edition, and that the Walter F. George School of Law was listed in Best 174 Law Schools: 2010 Edition.

U.S. News Ranks Mercer Among Top
10 Schools in the South for 11th Straight Year

MACON — Mercer University for the 11th consecutive year has made the Top 10 in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of comprehensive universities in the South.  Mercer is ranked No. 8 in the South in the 2010 “Best Universities-Master’s” category. The University has for 20 consecutive years been ranked in the top 15 in that category, which includes institutions that provide a full range of undergraduate and master’s programs, and few, if any, doctoral programs. More than 500 universities are ranked within four geographic areas – North, South, Midwest and West.

MACON — For the seventh consecutive year, The Princeton Review has named Mercer University to its list of America’s best colleges in the 2010 edition of the book, “Best 371 Colleges.” Only about 15 percent of the four-year colleges in America and two Canadian colleges were chosen for the book.

Carnegie Foundation Selects Mercer for its
National Community Engagement Designation

MACON — Mercer University has earned national recognition from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching for its commitment to community engagement, the foundation announced today. Mercer is the only college in Georgia, and one of just 119 in the United States, to be selected by the foundation for its 2008 Community Engagement Classification.

Mercer Ranked No. 6 Among Public Interest Law Schools

The Walter F. George School of Law has been ranked number six in the country among the Best Public Interest Law Schools, according to PreLaw magazine. The rating is based on information reported in the E-Guide to Public Interest Law Schools, including student involvement, curriculum and financial factors

ATLANTA/ MACON — The Princeton Review named Mercer University’s law and business programs among the nation’s best today, announcing that the Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics in Atlanta and Macon was among the “Best 296 Business Schools” in its 2009 book and that the Walter F. George School of Law was among the “Best 174 Law Schools” in the 2009 edition of its law schools guidebook.

Again Ranked Best in Country

MACON — The Legal Writing Program at the Walter F. George School of Law of Mercer University is again the top-ranked program among all of the law schools in the nation as announced today by U.S. News and World Report. The 2009 edition of America’s Best Graduate Schools lists Mercer’s program first in the country after being tied for first with Seattle University in 2006, second in 2007 and first in 2008.
