COVID-19 Vaccine Information for Atlanta
March 24, 2021
Governor Kemp announced yesterday that all Georgians age 16 and over will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine beginning Thursday, March 25. Mercer Medicine is authorized to distribute the vaccines on the Atlanta and Macon campuses as soon as we receive our order. We hope our order arrives this week, and we will keep you informed on how to schedule vaccine appointments on the Atlanta and Macon campuses.
Until then, we want to provide you a list of vaccination sites in the Atlanta area and across the state. Much of this information is found on https://georgia.gov/covid-vaccine.
Georgia Department of Public Health
Register for an appointment at a county health department site near you using the DPH appointment scheduling website.
You can also find a vaccine provider near you by using the DPH Vaccine Locator. Use the information listed to contact the provider and schedule a vaccine appointment.
Mass Vaccination Sites
Find a state-supported mass vaccination site nearest you and pre-register for an appointment at MyVaccineGeorgia.com.
Major pharmacy chains have vaccines at select locations. Find a pharmacy location near you at VaccineFinder.org. Visit the pharmacy website to schedule an appointment.
Your doctor or healthcare provider may also be administering the vaccines, and you will need to contact them directly. You may also contact an urgent care center or similar clinic in your area.
The vaccine is available at no cost to you, whether or not you have health insurance. If you have health insurance, you may be asked to provide your insurance information.
We encourage you to get vaccinated and continue to wear your mask, as provided in our policy, to protect yourself and others.
