Student Health Insurance Requirement
All Students (except those enrolled in Regional Academic Center programs or Engineering Distance Education programs) are required to have health insurance.
A charge for insurance coverage is placed on your tuition bill each term.
If you do not want to purchase the coverage and want the charge removed, you must complete the online waiver process before the designated deadline each term.

Student Health Center - Macon Campus
The Student Health Center (SHC) is the primary provider of health services for all Mercer students, regardless of insurance coverage. It is staffed Monday thru Friday, 8-12 & 1-5 by two RNs, and a physician who sees patients by appointment during scheduled clinics.
Campus Health Care Services - Atlanta Campus
Campus Health Care Services (CHS) is designed to provide limited services for acute illnesses, treatments and medications during regular hours of operation for currently enrolled students. Students should come in, check in at the desk and be seated until called. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. On the first visit, all students will receive a copy of the current HIPPA policy and will need to sign a statement of receipt of the HIPPA policy.
