Wednesday Nights
At RUF, we believe that God calls us to a large group ministry. Jesus demonstrated this as he preached and worshipped with large groups in His ministry. The early church understood this as they did not forsake meeting together regularly. (Heb 10:23-25)
Our large group meeting is held on Wednesday nights at 9:00pm in Java City in the Mercer University Center. We meet together for singing, prayer, fellowship and bible study. Please come a join us!
This semester we will be studying how the Christian changes in a series called Places of Grace. We will look at the general idea of Christian change and also how a believer continues to grow through disciplines such as prayer, bible intake, fasting, solitude, fellowship, worship, accountability, and communion.
RUF small group studies are a great way to meet other students and learn more about God and His Word. There are several studies going on this semester. Some studies focus on discussing passages of Scripture together, others are groups that read books and discuss them. Please try one of our studies out - you'll be glad you did!
“S-Groups” stand for Sanctification-Groups. Sanctification is the process whereby God makes us holy. These groups are composed of 3-4 students who simply seek to regularly ask one another about their growth in grace. The intent of these groups is for students to encourage one another in their faith and sharpen one another as “iron sharpens iron.” (Prov 27:17) If you are interested in learning more about S-groups or joining one, please contact Buck Rogers or Mary Jane Davis.
Another important characteristic of the RUF ministry is our desire to develop Godly men and women leaders in our world. RUF is led by a student leadership team. If you are interested in learning more about RUF leadership or possibly becoming an RUF leader, please contact Buck Rogers.
RUF sponsors intramural teams in every sport possible. Our teams are co-ed and open to any student, regardless of athletic ability.
