A Welcome From Rev. Buck Rogers |
Welcome to the RUF Website! My name is Buck Rogers, and I am the RUF campus pastor here at Mercer. We are delighted that you have decided to check us out online. Please browse through our new site and take a look at all the things RUF has to offer students at Mercer. We plan to update the site regularly, so please check back to see what is going on in our group. Fifteen years ago I began my freshman year at Mercer. Through many ups and downs, God brought me to the ministry of RUF. This experience changed my life, giving me a firm foundation in the Christian faith. RUF is where God molded and shaped my life, where I met my wonderful wife, and where God called me to a life of ministry. I truly love this ministry, and it is my prayer that you will love it as well. Please come and see us soon. Grace and Peace, Buck Rev. Chris “Buck” Rogers |

Beliefs
RUF’s beliefs can be best described in 3 ways. RUF is… Evangelical – RUF believes in the inspiration, infallibility, authority, inerrancy, and sufficiency of the Old and New Testaments of Scripture. We also believe that Jesus died on the cross as a substitution for the sins of those who trust in Him by faith. Reformed – RUF believes in the general principles of the Reformation, most notably that Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura) is our authority, that salvation comes by grace alone (Sola Gratia) through faith alone (Sola Fide) in Christ alone (Sola Christus), and that all is to God’s glory alone (Sola deo Gloria). Presbyterian – RUF is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America, and therefore believes in the denomination’s standards, which are best expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith and its Larger and Shorter Catechisms. |
