The Course Name field does not affect the calculator, but it will help users keep track of which courses are represented on each line.
The Hours for Course field should contain the number of credit hours that each course is worth; most courses at Mercer count for three (3) credit hours. This field will accept fractions of hours.
The Grade in Course field should contain the letter grade estimated for the course. This field only accepts the grades of A, B+, B, C+, C, D, and F (either uppercase or lowercase input is valid). Remember to include all courses, even those that will earn F's, in the calculator. The following grades are not accepted in the GPA Calculator because they do not affect a semester GPA: W, S, U, IC, and IP. An error will occur if these letters are used.
If you are repeating a course this term, the grade you are estimating in the class will be calculated in your anticipated grade point average for the term. However, the calculator will not take into account any repeated course(s) you may have this term when determining your new (overall) cumulative grade point average.
The Semester GPA and Overall GPA fields are truncated to three decimal places.
