  • Pharm.D. Admissions
    • Application Deadline: January 5, 2009
       
    • Requirements
      • Admissions requirements and standards are designed to ensure success in the Pharm.D. program. Selecting a candidate for the future practice of pharmacy involves many important factors, including academic background, PCAT scores, letters of reference and pharmacy experience.

        Applicants must also meet the Pharm.D. degree programs Technical Standards in order to be considered for admission into the program. A qualified applicant will be invited to visit the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for a required personal interview.

        Admission to the four-year Doctor of Pharmacy degree program requires at least two years of pre-professional education at an accredited college or university in the United States. Each applicant must complete a minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit.

    • Guaranteed Admission Plus Degree Program (GAPDP)

      The GAPDP is especially designed for students who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in pharmacy and who plan to complete all of their undergraduate pre-pharmacy coursework at Mercer's College of Liberal Arts in Macon. The GAPDP student, upon graduation from high school, will enroll and complete three years and a minimum of 90 semester hours at CLA and then enroll in the four-year Pharm.D. curriculum at COPHS. Upon successful completion of the first professional year at COPHS, the CLA will award the Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree.
