Being a part of the MSTCM program helped me discover my love for the field of technical communication. Having a background in marketing with the addition of a technical communication degree has been a useful combination, and I am excited to see where it takes me.

The MSTCM program really challenges students to think like a manager leading a team to accomplish goals in support of a technical solution. It helped open the passage for me to transition into a management role even before I completed my degree.

The Mercer faculty members are accomplished in using computer-mediated technologies to make learning relevant and engaging for adult professionals, and they have continued to advise, support, and mentor me since I graduated. In my job, I use and apply what I learned in my courses every day, and my employer has tailored job descriptions and roles for me based on the knowledge and skills I acquired through Mercer's MSTCM program.

Allen Brown, M.S. '17, Director of Grants and Project Development, Marriott International | Georgia

MSTCM Alum Testimonial: Allen Brown

When I joined this program, I already had 9 years of experience in TC. However, the different subjects I studied so far have helped me get familiar with other aspects of TC that I have not practically worked on. For example, the usability course really helped me when I interact with the UX designers in my current workplace.
