Mercer University is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the GA MAA State Lunch this year in conjunction with its undergraduate research conference, MUURMaC. You may attend the lunch even if you are unable to attend the conference. Please register for the lunch using our site.
Our plenary speaker this year is Dr. Robert Bosch from Oberlin College. Dr. Bosch is well known for his mathematical art as well as his unique optimization work. He recently won a prize at the JMM for some of his traveling salesman art. In addition, there is great admiration for his work in optimization art particularly with dominoes.
MUURMaC will be held on the Macon campus of Mercer University. The lunch is held in the President's Dining room, which is located in the University Center. Detailed directions are available on the travel page.
This year's lunch will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 12:30.
If you have questions not answered on this site, please contact Dr. Julie Beier at Mercer University.
Partial funding for the lunch is provided by the Southeastern Section of the MAA. Partial funding from this conference is provided by NSF grant DMS-0846477 through the MAA Regional Undergraduate Mathematics Conference program, http://www.maa.org/RUMC/.
