I have had the privilege of working with Zeta Omega since 1978. During this time the chapter has experienced times of feast and famine as have many other Greek organizations. When I meet you out in the "real world" I am often asked about the status of the chapter.

Through effective leadership and commitment to Lambda Chi ideals, Zeta Omega is once again a strong and vibrant chapter. It has demonstrated success in recruitment, academic achievement, philanthropy, and campus involvement. It was one of only two fraternities to receive a five-spire ranking for chapter excellence last year. I have had the opportunity to drop by the house from time to time and talk with the active brothers and associates. They are a group of men who possess the spirit of brotherhood you fondly remember from your own fraternity experience. They have high expectations for the chapter as well as themselves.

One of those expectations is for an active alumni organization. It is time to rebuild connections between the chapter and its alumni. The brothers of the active chapter need to hear your stories of Lambda Chi. They need a sense of history to enhance their efforts to build for the future. Visit the chapter's web site, form an alumni email list and plan to attend alumni events. Most of all, I hope you will drop by the house to visit those who carry on in the spirit of your tradition. You will be proud!
