Professor Klingelhofer specializes in medieval English history and, as an archaeologist, studies the earliest English colonial enterprises. His projects in England, Ireland, Virginia, and the Caribbean create regular chances for students to travel and assist in archaeological field work abroad.  He co-founded the Classical Studies concentration and teaches in the Great Books program.
