FYX students at Mercer University may be faced with many uncertainties, but they can always depend on the smiles of the children at Burke Elementary School. Each year FYX students volunteer one hour a week to tutor at the nearby school, and their efforts have helped Burke students to succeed both in the classroom and in the community. A child can never have too many positive role models, and Mercer does its part to see that these children will always have at least one college student in whom they may confide.
