faculty research and consulting In addition to sharing knowledge with students through technical communication courses, faculty also contribute to the sharing of knowledge in the technical communication field through research and consulting as evidenced by their published works, conference presentations, invitations to speak/ host workshops, project consultations, and awards. Not only do these experiences increase faculty members' credibility within the profession, but they also allow faculty to supplement classroom teachings with first-hand knowledge, making lessons more interesting and relevant to students' interests.
