The Society of Women Engineers The Mercer University Chapter
The Mercer Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers received its charter in 1992. The National Society of Women Engineers (SWE) was founded in 1950. SWE is a non-profit educational and service organization that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their their life-changing contributions and achievements - Annual Chili Cook-off Dr. Laura Moody is the faculty advisor for the Mercer University Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers. Dr. Moody is an associate professor and chair of the department of Industrial Engineering and Industrial Management.
