Mercer University Council on the Environment

The Mercer University Environmental Council is a university-wide council, appointed by the President to:

One of the ways that the Council facilitates efforts to move the university in directions that are environmentally compatible is through the administration of a University Fund on the Environment. The Council also conducts, or facilitates, periodic environmental audits of the university's practices and procedures, and serves as a clearinghouse of ideas for improving Mercer's environment.

The Report of the Select Committee on the Environment and the President's response to that report led to the creation of the Council. Further information regarding the Council can be found in those documents, which are included in the ECOLNET.
