Frequently Asked Questions

What are the requirements to be considered into the pledge program?
- Earning a business degree (minors not accepted).
- Must have a 2.5 Cumulative GPA.
- Attend recruiting events (2-3 of 4 recommended).
- Interview (dress professionally and submit a resume and degree audit)


Why should I join, and what are the benefits of joining?
- Be part of a diverse group of future business leaders.
- Develop and perfect your business skills by strengthening your communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Build a networking system through professional events and gain opportunities to be exposed to various careers in the business world.
- Serve your community through meaningful and fun projects.
- Mix business with pleasure through socials such as games, chapter retreats, and weekly dinner socials.


How much time will I have to allocate to the fraternity?
- Pledging process is equivalent to one 3 credit course and is about 8 weeks long. You are required to attend the one pledge meeting held each week (conflicts in schedule can be worked with).
- As a brother of the fraternity, you are required to attend one weekly chapter meeting, the majority of professional events (speakers, job tours, workshops, etc), and the majority of social events (dinners, movie nights, etc).


Can I join Delta Sigma Pi if I am already in a social fraternity/sorority?
- Yes you can join Delta Sigma Pi if you are a member of a social fraternity/sorority. We do not accept anyone that is already a member of any local, national, or international professional commerce and business administration fraternity in competition with this Fraternity.


How many members do you have, and how many pledges are you accepting?
- We only accept pledges during the fall and spring term and base our decisions on the quality of a person. We don't have a preset number we are looking for.


What does the pledging process consist of?
- Pledge process is a view of how the chapter runs but on a smaller scale. As a pledge class you will organize and execute a professional event, findraiser, community service event, and social event. You will have required to interview brothers, take tests based on our organization, and attend chapter events.


What are the costs associated with becoming a pledge and brother?
- Dues to become a pledge are $160 including the cost of initiation.
- If initiated, the chapter dues are $80 (every semester after you pledge).
- Payment plans are available upon request.
