Dr. Joseph Zompetti

At Mercer since 1998

Instructs:  American Public Address, Communication and Culture, Persuasion, Rhetoric of Contemporary Issues

Dr. Zompetti is also the advisor for the Mercer Debate Society and actively serves on the Scholarship Committee.

Dr. Zompetti received his B.A. from Butler University, 1993, his M.S. from Illinois State University, 1995, and his Ph.D. from Wayne State University, 1998.

"The Mercer Debate Society is the organization for all students interested in participating and competing in debate.  The Mercer Debate Society is responsible for hosting and debating against International competitions in public forums, sponsoring high school debating events, and supporting the Mercer Debate Team.  The Mercer Debate Team consists of students from various levels of experience who are interested in fine-tuning their argument skills, preparing for argument-related activities, and intercollegiate competition.  The Mercer Debate Team is ranked very high both regionally and nationally."
