Mercer University Theatre
Mercer Theatre is open to all students with an
interest in participating in the production of one or more plays during the
academic year. We usually mount four productions each year in our two
theatre spaces, the Backdoor Theatre and the Grand Opera House. Students
are encouraged to take on responsibilities usually available only at the
graduate level. Qualified students have directed, designed sets, lights,
costumes and makeup, and choreographed main stage productions. Students
have the opportunity to work with visiting professional artists regularly.
