Dr. Chasteen is the advisor to the Association of Communication and Theatre Students (ACTS).

Dr. Chasteen received her B.A. from William Jewell College, 1980, her M.A. from Central Missouri State University, 1985, and her Ph.D. from the University of Kansas, 1989.
