One of Alpha Phi Omega's cardinal principles is service. APO takes pride in giving back to its community, by providing services such as attending the senior center, food bank, park clean ups or service saturdays provided by campus.

Contribute Your Creative Ideas to a Fraternity That Cares
When you join APO, and even when your going through the pledge process your opinion matters. We believe that every idea has potential to succeed. If you give you share your idea with the brothers, we will do our best, with your help of course, to make it happen. Come watch your ideas turn into achievements.

Enhance your Leadership Capabilities
Within the fraternity, there are many opportunities to develop leadership. When joining the pledge process, you have a chance to be elected one of nine pledge posititons which are similar to the officer positions that you are eligible to run for when you become a brother. Also, available are the opportunties to attend National and sectional conferences, that help to develop the individual but also the fraternity.
Make New Friends
APO is a diverse, national, coed, service fraternity. Everyone within the fraternity is family. We attempt to fellowship with each other as much as possible but just like your family, we do need our time apart.
Improve Your Resume and Graduate School Applications
When you become an active member in APO, it looks good to have done community service and to have held a leadership positions within the fraternity. You have a better opportunity of entry, when they know academics wasn't the only thing you were managing.
