WHAT: Inaugural speaker in the Mercer University Center for Teaching and Learning's Distinguished Lecture Series. Dr. Light's topic will be "Making the Most of a College Education: Concrete Suggestions From 10 Years of Research on 20 Campuses."

WHERE: Medical School Auditorium. Take South entrance onto campus from Mercer University Drive. Turn right at stop sign. Medical School Building is on the left. Go past Mercer Health Systems parking and turn left into back parking lot. Enter building at back door.
WHY: Dr. Richard Light has created a stir on campuses across the nation with his recent revolutionary book, Making the Most of College: Students Speak Their Minds. He is a leading national authority on higher education and offers straightforward, simple steps for institutions to maximize the college experience for their students. His visit to Mercer is being sponsored by Mercer's newly created Center for Teaching and Learning, led by Dr. Priscilla Danheiser.
