WHO: The Right Honourable Lord Slynn of Hadley, Lord of Appeal in Ordinary, House of Lords, United Kingdom
WHAT: Lecturing on Constitutional Change in the United Kingdom as part of the inaugural John E. James Distinguished Lecture series at MercerŐs Walter F. George School of Law. The lecture is free and open to the public.
WHEN: 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24
WHERE: Moot Court Room, Walter F. George School of Law, 1021 Georgia Avenue, Macon
WHY: Lord Slynn is the equivalent of a U.S. Supreme Court justice and can offer a unique perspective on topics of interest from the United Kingdom. He will be specifically lecturing on constitutional change in the United Kingdom, but can respond to questions on a variety of topics involving the British government or legal system. He will also be receiving an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Mercer.
