Mercer's Teach for Georgia Students to Receive Program Certificates Saturday

WHO: Mercer University's Teach for Georgia students

WHAT: The 120 Teach for Georgia program participants at Mercer University will receive certificates for completing their three-week intensive course.

WHEN: 1 p.m., Saturday, July 28.

WHERE: Cecil B. Day Hall, Mercer University Atlanta campus, 3001 Mercer University Drive, off Chamblee-Tucker Road in northeast Atlanta. Take exit 94 off I-85 north. When entering the campus off Mercer University Drive, turn right at University Circle and follow the road around to the second parking lot. Day Hall is the round building near the flag pole.

WHY: This ceremony marks the conclusion of the first step toward certification of these 120 students. Many of them have already accepted teaching positions in Atlanta area schools and will begin work in the next two weeks.
