WHO: Mercer University's Teach for Georgia students
WHAT: Nearly 30 principals and administrators from nine different Atlanta-area school systems will be on Mercer's campus interviewing participants in the Mercer Teach for Georgia program to fill teaching vacancies this year.
WHEN: Open to the media from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 25.
WHERE: Swilley Building, Mercer University Atlanta campus, 3001 Mercer University Drive, off Chamblee-Tucker Road in northeast Atlanta. Take exit 94 off I-85 north.
WHY: Many school systems will be trying to fill teaching vacancies at their schools with individuals who have completed this summer's three-week intensive teacher training program that has been sponsored by the state of Georgia. The Mercer Teach for Georgia program has had 120 post-baccalaureate students participating in the program.
