Mercer University's Stetson School of Business and Economics will begin offering this fall its master of business administration (MBA) degree at the University's Douglas County Center. A free open house with a short informational session on the MBA program will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, at the Douglas County Center, 975 Blairs Bridge Road, Lithia Springs, located just south of I-20, off Thornton Road. Faculty and administrators will be available to talk with individuals about the MBA program, the courses and admissions requirements.
Mercer's MBA program is especially tailored to the working student. Courses are taught in the evenings in eight-week sessions. The lock-step program allows students to move through the curriculum together, with courses given in a specific order. Classes are kept small, so students can receive individual attention.
The focus of Mercer's MBA program is practical application. Students receive business tools they can apply immediately to their work and add value to their current and future careers.
Mercer faculty have a wide range of corporate and industrial experiences, and many are active consultants in the Atlanta business community. At least 96 percent of the faculty hold doctorate degrees.
Mercer University is the only university its size in the nation to offer programs in business, education, engineering, law, liberal arts, medicine, nursing, pharmacy and theology. For 11 consecutive years, U.S. News and World Report has ranked Mercer among the leading universities in the South. Founded in 1833, the University today enrolls more than 7,400 students.
