Board of Trustees

Mercer University is governed by a 45-member Board of Trustees, which has responsibility for overall policy-making for the University. The Articles of Incorporation and the Bylaws of the Corporation of Mercer University clearly define the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the Board of Trustees. The Board is responsible for establishing broad institutional goals and for securing the resources to support the University’s programs. The Board of Trustees fulfills its responsibilities through seven standing committees – Audit; Development; Educational Policy; Executive; Finance, Investment and Property; University Athletics; and University Honors – and through established procedures to ensure that it is adequately informed about the programs and general condition of the University.

Questions concerning the Board of Trustees should be directed to the Office of General Counsel and Secretary of the Corporation.
