New Programs Proposal /
Pro Forma

Before launching a new academic program, the Provost's Office requires the academic unit proposing the program to complete a thorough needs analysis. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness has a template for completing this analysis. The Needs Analysis Template is the form to submit for:

1. Submit the New Programs Prospectus and the Pro Forma (Budget Tables) to Jim Netherton at netherton_js@mercer.edu for approval, prior to submitting the new program to the appropriate academic committee.
   
   
2. The appropriate academic committee
   1. Graduate Council—submit to Scott Davis at davis_ds@mercer.edu.
   2. University Undergraduate Curriculum Committee—submit to Marilyn Mindingall at mindingall_m@mercer.edu.
      
      
3. Educational Policy Committee—submit to Whitney McMath at mcmath_wv@mercer.edu.

Dates for all three committees are on the Provost's Web site under Important Dates.

Download the New Programs Prospectus and the Pro Forma (Budget Tables). Please note that you will need to save these documents to your hard drive to be able to modify them. Selecting the "Open" option will not allow you to modify the documents.
