the mercer difference At Mercer University School of Engineering, industrial management students benefit from a curriculum designed to prepare students for challenging positions in any of the manufacuturing and service industries. Mercer's Industrial Management program is one of only two in the nation accredited by the Applied Science Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc., ensuring students receive a high quality education with emphases on engineering, business, and psychology. Students are introduced to multidisciplinary topics through coursework and projects, better equipping them to serve on and manage interdisciplinary teams in the workforce. The emphases placed on effective communication, project experience, and modern teaming are common threads among all undergraduate engineering specializations at the School and further distinguish our program from those of other institutions. Mercer's small class sizes and outstanding faculty contribute to the program's advantages. The one-on-one attention faculty give to students ensures students are well-equipped to tackle real-world issues in industry. Greater attention from faculty also translates into greater student opportunities. Students earn public exposure for successful senior design projects and attend/present at societal conferences. Faculty take a personal interest in the success of each of their students, making the close-knit learning environment at Mercer one of its greatest assets. |
