Jenny Zimmerman, Director
Jenny Zimmerman joined Mercer University as the Assistant Director of the Learning Center in 2001, and she became Director of the renamed Academic Resource Center in 2007. Ms. Zimmerman is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Liberal Arts and teaches First-Year Seminar. She holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Mathematics from Swarthmore College. Ms. Zimmerman serves as the faculty advisor for the Mercer Indian Cultural Exchange student group and is First Vice-President of the Middle Georgia Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association.
Stephanie Mooring, Assistant Director
Stephanie Mooring joined the Academic Resource Center (ARC) as the Administrative Coordinator in 2004. She became Assistant Director of the ARC in 2010. She holds a Master's degree in Technical Communication Management from Mercer University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Macon State College. Ms. Mooring manages the ARC's Online Writing Lab and coordinates the peer-tutoring program for the Macon campus. Ms. Mooring is also the instructor for College Study Skills courses (LSK 185 & 186).
Emmilee Mercer, Administrative Coordinator
In 2010, Emmilee Mercer joined the Academic Resource Center team as Administrative Coordinator. Prior to the ARC, Ms. Mercer worked in Mercer University's Macon Registrar’s office, the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s office, and Human Resources. Ms. Mercer is a graduate student in Mercer's Master of Science in Technical Communication Management program. Ms. Mercer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Information Technology from Macon State College.
Alex Rierson, Student-Athlete Affairs Coordinator
This is Alex Rierson's first year working as the Student-Athlete Affairs Coordinator in the Academic Resource Center. She is currently a graduate student in Mercer’s Master of Business Administration program. She graduated from Mercer University in May of 2010 with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Business Administration.
